I[ is not necessary to go below this depth, since most of the excavated area will <br />become a lake and there will be a large excess of soil. As described in the mining plan, the salvaged <br />topsoil will be used in reclamation of all areas near the shoreline and above. <br />6. Vegetation <br />No native vegetation communities are currently present within the proposed permit azea. As de- <br />scribed in the section on land use, the site was doted to facilitate irrigation decades ago, although <br />irrigation has not been used on the site for many years.
