1. Lay out grade plates at all vertical column locations
and bring to proper elevation and grade. Insert the
bolts in the grade plates with 5/8" spring nuts to
hold them in place.
NOTE: Grade plates should have 8" of soil cushion if
wall sets on solid rock or unyielding soil.
2. Lay out one first-lift vertical connector and necessary
connecting channels with nuts and bolts at each grade
plate. Outside corners require half as many connect-
ing channels as intermediate vertical connectors.
Project drawing gives vertical connector lengths and
number of splices to use to make up total vertical
connector for various heights of wall.
• 3. Lay out one bottom spacer and two regular spacers
between the Lwo end vertical connectors and one bottom
spacer and one regular spacer between the interior
vertical connectors. Note that bottom spacer is not as
wide as the other spacers.

`~` 4. Attach connecting channels and spacers to vertical
connectors making sure bottom spacer is on bottom. Do
not tighten nuts snugly at this time.
5. Lay out 2 or 3 stringers between the assembled vertical
connectors and spacers, back and front.
6. Beginning at one end of the Bin-Wall, attach a stringer
to the grade plate and then to the connecting channel
on the vertical connector. Do this on each face of
the Wall. Do not tighten nuts snugly at this time.
7. Check alignment of all bins and tighten nuts on lower
two stringers and bottom spacer for each bi.n.
8. Place stringers previously laid-out and tighten all
nuts.
9. Partially fill the bins in 4" to 8" layers and tamp
thoroughly. Work compacted fill material into the
corrugations of all members, but do not damage wall
sections with tamping equipment. Take care not to
. bulge the str ingers or exterior spacers.
