• PART 3 -RECLAIMED FACILITIES:
RECLAIMED FACILITIES:
Surface runoff must be controlled in order to maximize longterm stability of the
reclaimed facilities. In order to eliminate ongoing maintenance obligations after
reclamation, we recommend improved overland drainage but no diversion ditches.
All slopes should be completely revegetated to increase their long term stability.
All slopes for the reclaimed facilities should be graded at a minimum slope of 5%.
Runoff should be directed across fills as quickly es possible, but should not be
allowed to flow down the face of the fill or at the interface between the fill and
the existing undisturbed soils.
L 1
•
