EXHIBIT E (Cont'd)
Revegetation Program
The revegetation program was prepared by ;vlr. !,lark A. Heffner
' of Oikos, Environmental Consultants. The following recommendations
are based on his study and preparation of the exhibits on soils
' and vegetation.
Synthesis of soils and vegetation results in a conclusion
1
that the reclamation of the site has a favorable future provided
' soils are redeposited to a depth of about 12 inches and a diverse
seed mixture is utilized. Annual weeds may be a problem initially,
' but through restriction of continued disturbance by grazing, a
good productive vegetation should be produced on the site. The

recommended seed mixture sh ould be as follows:
Lbs. PLS/Acre*
~ - Intermediate Wheatgrass 4
Western Wheatgrass 9
Fairway Wheatgrass 4
Big Bluestem 4
Yellow Sweetclover 0.5
_ *This is for drilling, which is recommended where
feasible. If broadcast, double the rate.
' Fertilizer will be added as needed and indicated by soil
' tests prior to distribution of soil; or if done after distribution
and phosphorous is needed, then the phosphorous should be disced
' into the soil prior to seeding. ASulch with straw at 1500 lbs.
' per acre if seeded in the spring after a dry winter; otherwise,
no mulch is deemed necessary. If mulched, add sufficient nitrogen
fertilizer to decompose the mulch without causing a nitrogen

- 20 -
