3-3
Salt Creek will reclaim the surface of the area and create small
• pockets and other water-retaining configurations so that
revegetation will be enhanced.
3.1.3 Slurry Ponds
Prior to backfilling the slurry ponds, all slurry as well as the
bentonite liner will be removed to the refuse disposal area. The
ponds will then be backfilled with material from the railroad
bypass road. The area will then be topsoiled and prepared for
revegetation.
3.1.9 Sedimentation Reservoir
• Prior to reclamation of the refuse disposal area, any accumulation
of sediment will be cleaned as part of the normal operational
process. This will leave a clean sediment pond prior to
reclamation efforts in the central area. When adequate
revegetation progress in the central area has occurred, the
sediment pond will be recontoured, the discharge structures
removed, and the area topsoiled. Any sediment realized during
reclamation efforts will be in runoff from retopsoiled areas
there-fore, it would be adequate to use for recontouring the
sediment pond.
•
3.1.5 Parking Lot, Supply Yard and Roads
All asphaltic pavement in the central area will be removed and
1/17/86
