3-2
Prior to topsoiling of the refuse pile, material will be removed
• from the coal stockpile and facilities area (Figure 2.2-25) to the
refuse disposal area. This material will constitute a part of the
cover requirements (Four feet of material) that are imposed upon
such reclamation activities. The above material will comprise
approximately two feet of the required depth, while the additional
two feet will be made up of stockpiled topsoil material. Overall,
the refuse pile will have up to four feet of material covering the
waste product.
This material, along with the necessary amount of topsoil from the
topsoil stockpile will be spread on the benches and sides of the
refuse area. The roads will be recontoured and additional
• material will be placed on them.
After successful revegetation has occurred, the sediment pond will
be reclaimed and all minor ephemeral drainages in the area will be
restored.
3.1.2 Refuse Disposal Area Road
The road will be reclaimed by removing material from fill sections
along the road and placing it in the cut sections. Since the road
has a material balance within itself, adequate material will be
available to accomplish this task. All culverts will be removed
and drainages restored. The road will then be topsoiled and
revegetated.
1/17/86
