There is no visible evidence of <br />past mining or other activities on the site, other than agricultural use, although there is <br />historical documentation of a railroad line up the valley at this point, which apparently <br />used the current road bed of CO Highway 145 or an area immediately adjacent to it. <br />The permit boundary has been laid out to avoid virtually all wooded areas, to avoid the <br />river bank and areas with wetlands or other sensitive areas along the river, thus <br />creating conservation buffers for these areas. <br />TABLE D-1.
