Wbole ECfuent Toxicity, Acute Weekly Monthly Monthly Monthly Weekly Weekly Semi-Annually Instantaneous or Continuous Grab Grab Grab Visual In-situ Grab Self-monitoring sampling by the permittee for compliance with the monitoring requircmenu specified above shall be performed at the following locations: outfalls 001, 004 and 005 -sedimentation ponds t, 5 and 3, respectively, prior to entering Magpie Creek; and outfall 002 -sedimentation pond 4, prior to entering an unnamed tributary to Newlin Crcek. If the permittee, using the approved analytical methods, monitors any parameter more frequently than required by this permit, then the results of such monitoring shall be included in the calculation and reporting of the values required in the Dsschazge Monitoring Report Form (DMRs) or other forms as required by the Division. Such increased frequency shall also be indicated. •J (c) Oil and Grease Monitorine For every outfall with oil and grease monitoring, in the event an oil shcen or floating oil is observed, a grab sample shall be collected, analyzed, and reported on the appropriate DMR. In addition, corrective action shall be taken immediately to mitigate the discharge of oil and grease. A description of the corrective action taken should be included with the DMR. ~~ C. DEFINITIONS OF TERMS 1. 'Acute Toxicity' means there shall be no acute toxicity in the effluent from this discharge point. The acute toxicity lititation is exceeded if 1) a statistically significant difference in mortality (at the 95% confidence level) is observed for either species between the control and any dilution less that or equal to the identified 1WC or 2) a species mortality in any dilution of effluent (including ]00`Y effluent) exceeds 50%. 2. "Composite" sample is a minimum of four (4) grab samples collected at equally spaced two (2) hour intervals and proportioned according to flow. 3. 'Continuous' measurement, is a measurement obtained from an automatic recording device which continually measures provides measurements. 4. 'Daily Maximum limitation" meatu the limitation for this parameter shall be applied as an instantaneous maximum (or, for pH or DO, instantaneous minimum) value. The instantaneous value is defined as the analytical result oC any individual sample. DMRs shall include the maximum (and/or minimum) of all instantaneous values within the calendaz month. Any instantaneous value beyond the noted daily maximum limitation for the indicated parameter shall be considered a violation of this permit. 5.
