_, i
A report containing the results of our evaluation of the •
applicability of the Mid-Continent study to Mt. Gunnison
and the ERT study as well as an analysis of the refuse
I
material itself together with WECC's recommendation for
suitable cover depth will be submitted to the CMLRD for
its evaluation. The report will be submitted to the CMLRD
within six months. Until such time as the variance f
request is approved, WECC will commit to covering the
refuse pile with four feet of non-toxic cover material.
As described in Section 5 under Reclamation and Bonding of
the original application, WECC, in its 1981 Topsoil
Assessment, determined that there was seedbed quality ~
material present in the refuse disposal area well in
excess of that necessary for reclamation, using four feet ~
of cover. Furthermore, as indicated in Section 5, the 1
seedbed quality material removed prior to commencement of
construction on the first stage of the refuse pile will be
I
stockpiled on the east end of the refuse disposal area as
shown in Drawing 001 of that application.
8.1.2 Collection Ditches
Upon reclamation, all surface water collection ditches
will be removed and the area reclaimed in accordance with
Section 4.4 of the Mt.
