Explain the meaning of S, TF, C, AP, TT .on Table z.o4.7(2)(a)-l. REVISED <br />2 The applicant must address alternative water supply information section <br />' 2.04.7(3). The ~pplicant cannot determine measurable effects on surface and ground- <br />water supplies unless quantitative data on the existing springs and the unnamed <br />drainage near Bear Mine are supplied. Since this data was not submitted, Beai Coal <br />must provide an augmentation plan for the decreed springs not owned by the mine. <br />AUGMENTATION PLAN NOT REQUIRED. REFER TO SECTIONS 2.,04.7(J_) n 2,94.7(2} <br />3. The applicant should provide a discussion of possible flooding at the mine <br />' site. PAGES 47-2s,2c.?..D.2E <br />-I. Since the dip of the beds in the permit area is toward the main portal. in the <br />~7ortheast, historically has there been any drainage of mine water from this portal? <br />REFER TO PAGE 42, PARAGRAPHS 2 AND 3 <br />~4.8 Climatological rnforma ti on <br />;. There appears to be an inconsistency between the average annual precipitation <br />' indicated in the text (page 49 says 25" near Somerset), the Wilcox Ranch data <br />(Figure 2.04.8(1)(a)-1 says 18.93"), text (page 99 says 16.94"), and text (page 24 <br />~~ys "less than 20 inches per year). The monthly values in Figure 2.09:8(I)(a)-1 <br />add up to 18.45 inches. Please indicate which data are to be used for the Bear Coal <br />::'.ine site, and why. (2.04.8(1) (a)) PAGE 49 <br />2. On page 50, it is stated that there are no meteorological monitoring stations <br />end, therefore, no data for the area of the Bear Mine. Provide adequate information <br />to describe the average direction of the prevailing winds. (2.04.8(1)(b)). This <br />may be satisfied by a clear, specific reference, if the information is publically <br />mailable. PAGE 59 <br />3. Please provide documentation from Colorado Department of Health - Air Pollution <br />control Division of .compliance with the provisions of the Clean Rir Act (page 78). <br />F~EF~f~ TO PAGE 22. These data must include, in addition to data given in <br />~ 04.9(1)(b)(i) through (iv); saturation percentage; Calcium,Magnesium and Sodium <br />(all soluble); percent organic matter, Selenium. (if pN is greater than 8.5} or if <br />_lenium indicator plant species is present, and Boron (if pN is greater than 8.5). <br />•~e analyses should be performed on material which is currently stockpiled and on <br />{I~e soils to be imported from Paonia Reservoir. <br />MUST REPORT ONLY PH, TEXTURE, SODIUF;, AND COhJDUCTIVITY.
