Water released from sedimentation ponds will tra- <br />vel through spillways lined with riprap, gravel or natural <br />vegetation before being discharged into streams. Surge ponds <br />at discharge points will not be necessary to handle the low <br />discharge rates to be expected from the design event. Ero- <br />sion downstream from the proposed sedimentation ponds will be <br />minimized by use of gravel dams and other sediment filters <br />placed on the intermittent streams and perennial streams, as <br />shown on the Eckman Park Hydrology (t4ap 14) and the Energy Mines <br />No. 1 and 2 Hydrology (Map 13).
