Benson Brothers Pig Mesa Pit
DMG 112 Application
Exhibit E- Reclamation Plan
be replaced on the pit floor as soon as mining progresses so that these areas will not be re-
disturbed. We expect the life of the mine to be approximately 15 years with the tazget date of
fall of 2020 for completion of mining activities
f) Final grading will leave approximately 25 feet azound the perimeter of the affected land at
original grade with a 3:1 slope down to the pit floor. The pit floor will slope at approximately
1 % to the northeast where it will merge with natural slope down to the Tongue Creek Valley.
Since the future use of the property is for developing a residential subdivision and the existing
vegetation is so spazse, seeding, fertilization, and revegetation are not part of the reclamation
plan. Landscaping for the subdivision will be part of the plot plan to be specified in the county
subdivision process. Topsoil will be replaced on the 3:1 slopes, and in the pit floor at a depth of
4 to 8 inches.
