4~
American Soda is conducting in house seminars with our employees on calibration protocols,
operating permits procedures and reporting requirements.
I would like to recommend that the procedures incorporated in the Commercial Mine Plan
relating to operational parameters be utilized in the UIC Permit to provide consistent
requirements.
This communication has heightened the awareness at American Soda concerning our well
operations and the responsibilities associated with these operations. We are striving to meet all
aspects of our permits and to continue to maintain the same high standards of operations in
the future as we have demonstrated over the past 5 years.
I would like to follow up with a more detailed discussion on the potential permit modification
and any other items that need further review. We should set a meeting within the next 30 days
to cover these matters. Please advise me of an appropriate date and time and I adjust my
schedule accordingly.
If we need to provide further information or documentation on these matters prior to meeting
let me know.
Sincerely,
~~2~
Ed Cooley
Environment I Safety
& Health Manager
c.c.
