The average depth of the deposit is 11 feet below the overburden depth of 5 feet. Currently, Connell processes approximately 400,000 tons of aggregate per year. Connell expects to keep this same rate of production at the Timnath Connell Pit. They will mine between 10 to 20 acres per year. At this rate of mining Connell expects to mine and reclaim the site in eight to ten years. Reclamation will be concurrent with mining. The final reclamation plan for the site is a lined water storage reservoir. The DMG Reclamation Plan Exhibit F illustrates the approximate dimensions of the lake. Connell proposes to use the Timnath Connell Pit as an extension of the existing Wellington Downs Pit. Connell will excavate, crush, wash, size, sort and sell aggregate at the Timnath Connell Pit. They will transport aggregate to the Wellington Downs site for use in the asphalt batch plant. 2. Expected ra~mber of clients/patrons per day. Comtell serves approximately 50 to 100 clients a year. Due to the nature of their business, supplier of asphalt and sand and gravel base materials, they generally get hired for larger contract projects that require a lazge quantity of material. As mentioned above they serve local and state governments and private industry. 3. Number of employees. Connell will employ approximately 15 people at the Timnath Connell Pit operation. A good portion of these employees currently work at the Wellington Downs Pit. 4. Days and hours of operation. Monday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. This is the hours allowed for the extraction, processing and hauling of the resource. Equipment maintenance occurs from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The hours listed above are the hours currently allowed for the Wellington Downs Pit. We are not requesting a change with this application. 5. Projected daily traffic to and from the site. Through the sale of their products, Connell will generate truck traffic on the 1-25 Frontage Road, Harmony Road and State Hwy 392. Connell expects to mine approximately 400,000 tons of aggregate annually. They expect an average carrying weight of 25 tons/truck. For the purpose of this daily truck traffic prediction, a [ruck load is defined as a loaded truck leaving the site. A truck trip is any truck entering or leaving the site. Therefore, one loaded truck actually generates two truck trips.
