Wyoming Fuel also provided documentation that untreated drainage from the
disturbed area no longer contributed additional suspended solids above natural
conditions, per Rules 4.05.6(14) and 4.05.2(2). Sedcad modelling using the
Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation wa9presentk~to the Division as part of
the Phase II Bond Release package.
XXI. Bonding - Rule 2.05.4(2)(h>
Information regarding bonding is found in Section 2.03, Volume I of the
original permit application. Additional information can be found in Section
2.08.5 of the permit renewal application.
Reciamat'on of the current disturbance is the only activity to oe permitted at
the Canadian Strip Mine during the term of the permit renewal. Conditions at
present represent less disturbance than the maximum disturbance conditions
used to calculate the original bond amount of 3921,000.00.
Using the data and information provided by 'Wyoming Fuel Company, and as
required by the regulations, the Division calculated the cost of reclamation
at the Canadian Strip Mine. For the purposes of bonding, present conditions
are to be considered equivalent to maximum disturbance conditions. Based upon
the information submitted, and using standard estimation techniques and
current rates, the Division determined the cost of reclamation to be
3746,450.00.
A performance bend in the amount of 3746,450.00 will be be maintained in the
second permit term.
The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this sec*,ion.
XXII
Information regarding sealing of drilled holes and underground openings is
found in Volume I, Section 2.05.4 of the permit application.
