XVIII. Coal Prcc2ssinq Waste and Non-Coal Processing Waste - Rule <br />As the only activity to occur during the second permit term is reclamation of <br />the previously disturbed area, this section does not apply. <br />The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />XIX. Mine Facilities. Coal Handling Structures. Support Facilities - Ruie <br />A description of mine facilities, coal handling structures, support facilities <br />is found on pages 30 aid 50 of Volume I of the original permit application. <br />Mine facilities at the Canadian Strip Mine include an office trailer, shop, <br />crushing plant, and truck scale. The locations of theca structures are shown <br />on Figure Z of the permit document. These facilities, and the remainder of <br />equipment on the sits, will be removed prior to final reclamation. <br />The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />~~XXa. Roads - Rules 2.03 and 4.03 <br />Information regarding roads is found on page 35 of Volume I, Appendix 5 of <br />Volume III, ar,d Figure 2 of the permit renewal application. <br />The road which connects the permit area to Jackson County Road Zia will be <br />retained as Dart of the final reclamation plan for the Canadian Strip Mine. <br />The roadway was a pre-existing access road to an oil well, and through an <br />executed agreement (Appendix S of original application) will continue in plaCa <br />after reclamation is completed. <br />The road was upgraded to meet the performance standards for haul roads prior <br />to its use as Such. The Section of haul road between the previous facilities <br />area and the access/entrance haul road will be reclaimed as part of the <br />reclamation plan (page 35>. A parking area and turn-around have been included <br />in the post-mine design of the road (Figure 2). <br />The operation is in compliance with the requirements or this section. <br />XXb. Ponds-Rules <br />Ponds 1 and 2 were approved a permanent impoundments through Technical <br />Revision No. 6 in August, 1991. Wycmirg Fuel provided demon;tration5 found in <br />Rule 4.05.9, namely that the quality of the water in those ponds is suitable <br />for livestock use; the level of water is sufficiently stable; the <br />configuration of the ponds permits adquate safety and access to stock; the <br />water impoundments will not result in diminution of water quality for holders <br />of downstream water rights, the designs meet or exceed stanards found in the <br />SCS Bulletin No. 378 entitled Pond s and the size is adequate for its intended <br />purposes. The landowners of each pond requested that theca ponds be retained <br />and each set of landowners filed for appropriate water rights. <br />22 <br />T1Z-~ ~-zl-Rr <br />
