-z- <br />SECTION I - HISTORY <br />The Eastside Mine operated by Eastside Coal Company is located 1/4 mile <br />south of the Harvey Gap Reservoir and on the eastside of Harvey Gap <br />Drainage, an ephemeral stream. The Eastside Mine is approximately <br />3.5 miles north of the town of Silt, Colorado. <br />The original permanent program permit application was submitted by <br />Eastside Coal Company on February 24, 1984. The Mined Land Reclamation <br />Division (Division) proposed to approve this application, as detailed <br />in the Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance Document dated <br />December 14, 1984. This decision to approve became final and Permit <br />C-84-065 was issued to Eastside on January 14, 1985, for a five-year <br />term. Mid-term review of Eastside's permit was completed by the <br />Division on March 23, 1987 followed by a permit renewal in June 29, <br />1990. Expiration date of the new permit is set for January 13, 1995. <br />The midterm date for this permit is July 14, 1992. This Midterm Review <br />was initiated on October 1, 1992. Since permit renewal there have been <br />no notices of violations issued. The mine has undergone three periods <br />of temporary cessation, one from December 9, 1988 to October 19, 1989, <br />one from March 18, 1990 to October 10, 1990 and the last one from <br />August 16, 1991 to present. <br />SECTION II - REVISIONS TO THE PERMIT (since June 29, 1990) <br />Technical Revision Summary <br />N0.
