<br />1n the flftlt annual $xcellence in Surface Mining and Reclamation Awards compodilon.

<br />to reestablish the mclaimed site's pm-mining forestry land use.
<br />Other top honor winners in the 1990 national competlnon, sponsored by interlor~e
<br />Office of 8urfaca Mining Reclamation and Ltnforcement (06M), are;
<br />- Trapper Mi1r[ng, Inc,, Trappp Mine, Craig, Colorado, submitted by rho Colorado
<br />Mined Land Reclamation D,vision, for a reclamation and sedimentation control project
<br />which re-created a habitat for duoc end elk on thn nWte'a 10,000-am pernilt sips.
<br />- Solu Sotixcea, Inr., Sky-Point Mltu, Lynnville, Indiana, submitted by the Indlacra
<br />Department of Natural Resourz:ea Rec]amation Division for exernplnryr soil replacement,
<br />and for restoring the alts to farrrtland, which is now producing a variety of trope,
<br />lruluding hay, soybeans, and wheat.
