Backfilling and Grading - Rules 2.05.3(b), 2.05.4(2)(a), 2.05.4(2
~r-tea--r~s- ;-,rte
The operator's backfilling and grading plan has been reviewed by the Division
and has been determined to be in compliance. The 25~to 35'bench upon which
the tipple was built will be graded upon final reclamation to blend into the
surrounding terrain. Postmining topography maps and cross sections included
in the application demonstrate that the regraded topography will compliment
the drainage pattern of the adjacent area. Though the surface elevation
within the tipple area will, be i-rtcr-eased by up to 20 feet, postmining slope
gradients will not exceed~permining cgnditions. Grading operations will be
conducted on the contour and slopes will be chiseled and contour furrowed to
'~~~ control erosion until vegetation is successfully established.
The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section
XVI. Coal Processing Waste and Non-Coal Processing Waste-Rules 2.05.3(8),
No processing waste will be generated at the Fish Creek Tipple, therefore
Rules 2.05.3(8), 4.10, and 4.11 are not applicable.
A description of the disposal practices for debris, and materials constituting
a fire hazard such as oil and fuel are described on page 2.05.53.
This section is in compliance.
XVI I.
A.
