OMI regularly submits quarterly coal mine waste pile inspection reports as required by
Stipulation 16. The most recent report, submitted on 13 January 2006.
Commitment 1 remains from the Somerset Mine. The referenced page from the permit
could not be located. The Division has one report on file, but the commitment has not
been terminated. Please provide any additional information OMI has regarding this
commitment.
Section IV. -Decision to Require Revisions or Additional Information
Based on a review of the permit application, the Division has the following questions for
OMLLC. The Division requests responses from OMLLC by 31 May 2006.
Please update the Sanborn Creek and Elk Creek Mine's Supplemental
Information contained in Section 2.03.3 of the permit application package
(PAP), as necessary.
2. Please update the Identification of Interests information in Section 2.03.4
of the PAP, as necessary.
Please update the Compliance Information in Section 2.03.5 of the PAP.
4. Please update the Permit Term information in Section 2.03.7 of the PAP to
contain more historic information regarding the current and past permit
terms and permit renewals.
Please incorporate the "Class III Cultural Resources Inventory of the
Block Clearance Area Project", prepared on 26 August 2005 and
submitted to the Division on 31 August 2005, into the PAP. This report
should be incorporated into either an existing exhibit regarding cultural
resources or a new exhibit, at OMLLC's discretion. This report was
originally submitted with Technical Revision 53.
6. Please incorporate the "Block Biological Clearance Project", prepared in
August 2005 and submitted to the Division on 30 August 2005, into the
PAP. This report should be incorporated into either an existing exhibit
regarding cultural resources or a new exhibit, at OMLLC's discretion.
This report was originally submitted with Technical Revision 53.
OMLLC has an extensive gob vent borehole (GVB) drilling program.
Some of these boreholes aze active, some aze inactive and some aze
reclaimed. The Division requests that OMLLC add a table to the PAP
detailing the status of each of the GVB's. Please include the date drilled,
permitting action, date removed from service, reclamation date, etc.
