Approval of RN-01 /PR-02 The Division found the submittal for RN-O1/PR-02 complete on March 2, 1987 and sent adequacy questions to Trapper on April 30, 1987. Trapper responded to those comments with two sets of responses received by the Division on August 24 and September 1, 1987; revised post-mining topography maps were received on October 9, 1987. The Division sent Trapper follow-up adequacy questions on November 12, 1987 and received responses from Trapper on December 11, 1987. Additional exchanges of comments and responses continued into April 1988. RN-O1/PR-02 was approved on Apri18, 1988, effective December 31, 1987. RN-02/RN-03 The second renewal of permit C-81-010 began with the Division notifying Trapper Mining Inc. on March 9, 1992 that its permit would expire on December 31, 1992. The Division received an application from Trapper for RN-02/PR-03 on July 1, 1992 and found it complete on July 7, 1992. The application was for another 5-yeaz term and mainly addressed new pits and further advancement of pits within the permit azea. An additional 1,562 acres were to be disturbed. The Division sent its preliminary adequacy review questions and comments to the Trapper on August 31, 1992 and received responses on October 23, 1992. The Division submitted follow-up questions to Trapper on November 10, 1992 and Trapper responded on January 12, 1992. The follow-up questions dealt mainly with the Flume Gulch drainage which was designated an alluvial valley floor in the findings document for RN-02/PR-03. The Division approved PR-03 on January 19, 1993 and RN-02 on January 21, 1993 with an effective date of December 31, 1992. RN-03/PR-04 The Division received the RN-03/PR-04 application from Trapper on June 17, 1997 and found it complete on June 20, 1997. The application was for another 5-year term and called for operations to continue generally as they have in the past with the pits advancing eastward within the permit azea and disturbing an additional 1,025 acres. The Division sent preliminary adequacy review questions to Trapper on August 21, 1997, and sent two additional questions on October 6, 1997. Responses to all of the Division's questions were received by the Division on December 17, 1997. The Division then sent two follow-up questions to the operator February 20, 1998 and received responses to those questions on March 16, 1998. Additional revised pages were submitted by TMI on April 14, 1998. The Division approved RN-03/PR-04 on May 13, 1998. The decision became fmal on July 13, 1998. RN-04/PR-OS The Division notified Trapper Mining, Inc. on April 2, 2002, that a permit renewal application needed to be received by the Division by June 25, 2002.
