Lamoreux <br />- 2 - <br />Reclamation Tasks <br />December 15, 1989 <br />Reclamation tasks as outlined below shall be initiated and completed in <br />accordance with the foil owing schedule. Task numbers correspond to tasks as <br />listed in the Division's letter of September 21, 1989. Items 1 through 4 <br />shall be initiated no later than May 1, 1990 and completed no later than <br />June 1, 1990. Items 5 and 6 shall be initiated no later than June 1, 1990 and <br />completed no later than July 1, 1990. Items 7, 8 and 10 shall be initiated no <br />later than July 1, 1990 and completed no later than September 1, 1990. Items <br />9, 11, and 13-18 shall be initiated no later than September 15, 1990 and <br />completed no later than October ]5, 1990. <br />Task 1 <br />The proposal in the December 1, 1989, letter is acceptable, with the exception <br />of the indefinite time schedule. Since demolition and cleanup must occur <br />prior to other reclamation tasks, we have specified that the task be completed <br />by June 1, 1990. <br />Task 2 <br />The proposal in the December 1 letter is acceptable. <br />Task 3 <br />The proposal in the December 1 letter is acceptable. <br />Task 4 <br />The proposal in the December 1 letter is acceptable, with the provision that <br />the task is to be completed by no later than June 1, 1990. <br />Task 5 <br />Any modification to the approved portal sealing and backfilling plan will need <br />to be submitted to the Division for approval prior to construction. The <br />submittal will need to include appropriate narrative description and scale <br />drawing describing the proposal and demonstrating compliance with the coal <br />regulations and MSHA requirements. MSHA correspondence should be included <br />with the revision proposal. <br />Task 6 <br />The plan for clean up, removal, spreading and compaction of coaly material and <br />underground development waste is acceptable as presented in the December 1 <br />letter. <br />Tasks 7 and 10 <br />The portal bench backfi]ling plan lacks the detail to ensure that the final <br />reclaimed configuration will be deemed acceptable, We realize that the <br />approved plan is not highly detailed, but it does state that the site will be <br />regraded to approximate original contour.
