<br /> <br />4. <br />5. <br />All large rock which will interfere with the revegetation <br />plan, specifically seeding will have to be removed during this <br />process. It is recognized that there is insufficient topsoil <br />and overburden located on Chen's Hill to evenly distribute 6 <br />inches over the entire Chen's Hill disturbance. If money is <br />available, additional topsoil and overburden will be <br />transported from the East Pit area and will be paid by <br />equipment rental. <br />In reference to Task 5-West Slope Reduction Work Description <br />shall be clarified by stating that the road located at the <br />base of the slope can be eliminated in order to achieve the <br />grading requirements. <br />In reference to Task 6-West Slope Drainage Control is deleted <br />in it's entirety. <br />In reference to Task 9-North End Topsoil Replacement <br />Measurement and Payment shall be modified to include the <br />following; payment for Task 9 will be reflected in a lump sum <br />bid under item 9. <br />In reference to Task l0-East Pit Backfill Work Description <br />shall be modified to include the following; the compaction <br />requirements outlined in paragraph 2 must be followed provided <br />it can be done safely. <br />In reference to Task 11-East Pit Slope Reduction Work <br />Description and Map 7 shall be modified to include the <br />following; prior to grading down the east side of the pit, the <br />top 1 foot of available topsoil will be stripped and <br />stockpiled to the east north and south. Following topsoil <br />removal and segregation, next 2 feet of available overburden <br />will be stripped and stockpiled to the east north and south <br />for use as a growth medium. Stripping operations will be <br />required along the entire length of the East Pit above the <br />Highwall as this area is currently undisturbed. Shrubs shall <br />be grubbed out and placed in scattered piles along the <br />perimeter of the disturbance. Trees shall be limbed, cut to <br />a maximum length of 6 feet and stacked along the perimeter. <br />Limbs shall be placed in piles along the perimeter of the <br />disturbance along with the shrubs. <br />The work description grading work area as measured from the <br />east edge of the east pit highwall is modified as follows; A <br />200 foot setback from the edge of the east pit shall be <br />allowed from the 950 north grid line to the 2200 north grid <br />line for facilitat topsoil and growth medium salvage and <br />grading of the east pit highwall. The grading work area from <br />the 2200 north grid line to the 2600 north grid line <br />(northeast end of the east pit) shall remain at 100 feet as <br />measured from the east edge of the east pit highwall. <br />As clarification, the undisturbed drainage located on the <br />
