-z- ARTICLE III. PURPOSE, SCOPE, AND SPECIAL PROVISIONS OF PROJECT LdORri Section 1. LOCATION: New Pryor Reclamation Project Huerfano County, Colorado Section 19, Township 29 South, Range 65 west Approximately 15 acres Section 2. PURPOSE: The purpose of the Cooperative Agreement is to reclaim the New Pryor Reclamation site (hereafter referred to as the Project). Authorized activities include basic surveying, geotechnical investigations, design, bid advertisement and award, construction, inspection, and maintenance during the first year following the completion of this cooperative agreement. Reclamation activities are intended to eliminate the dangerous highwall and correct the severe erosion and failing vegetation at the site. The Recipient is not responsible for further reclamation beyond the maintenance performed during the first year following the completion of the Project. Section 3. SCOPE OF WORK The Recipient is responsible for the following project work. Section 3.1 Preparation of real estate requirement including the determination of current owners and legal descriptions of land to be reclaimed. Section 3.2 Modifications to currently approved NEPA compliance documents that may become necessary due to changes in the project scope of work or reclamation techniques. Section 3.3 Preparation of an engineering design and construction bid package for the Project that will, with funds available, result in the reclamation of the identified site hazards, especially the dangerous highwalls. Section 3.4 Submission, to the OSM Project Officer, of 2 copies of the final design package (including standard clauses, plans, specifications, statement of work, cost estimates, and design
