SOIL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE RECLAIMED AREA WITH AN ADJACENT <br />UNDISTURBED AREA. THIS COMPARISON SHALL BE SUFFICIENT TO VERIFY THAT <br />THE INFILTRATION, PERMEABILITY, AND TEXTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE <br />RECLAIMED SOILS HAVE BEEN RE-ESTABLISHED SUFFICIENTLY TO RENDER THE <br />AREA AS POTENTIALLY FLOOD IItRIGABLE. <br />Status -Terminated <br />On 4 August 2004 Linda Craven, Soil Scientist with the Natural Resources Conservation Service <br />(MRCS) sampled the soils of the Southfield Loadout and the adjacent undisturbed lands. Her <br />conclusions and those discussed in a follow-up letter from Roy Roper of NRCS on 25 August <br />2004 indicate that the soils of the loadout and the adjacent undisturbed azeas are similaz and <br />would both support agricultural functions. <br />STIPULATION NO. 5 <br />THE OPERATOR SHALL MONITOR THE WATER LEVELS MONTHLY IN THE <br />THOMPSON WELL WATER SOURCE BEGINNING 120 DAYS PRIOR TO PILLARING OR <br />SUBSIDING WITHIN 1500 FEET OF THE THOMPSON WELL. THE OPERATOR MAY <br />EITHER OBTAIN THE USE OF THE THOMPSON WELL FOR MONITORING OR DRILL <br />AN ADDITIONAL WELL COMPLETED IN THE SAME GEOLOGIC UNIT. <br />Status -Terminated <br />This well is no longer serviceable due to mining activities and samples can not be obtained. <br />STIPULATION NO.6 <br />THE APPLICANT WILL SUBMIT TO THE DIVISION AN ANNUAL REPORT OF <br />INFLOWS, DISCHARGES AND CONSUMPTION OF WATER WITHIN THE MINE. THIS <br />REPORT IS TO INCLUDE A MINE WORKINGS MAP SHOWING THE LOCATION AND <br />QUANTITY OF INFLOWS: A TABLE KEYED TO THE MINE MAP WHICH SHALL <br />CONTAIN THE SOURCE (i.e., FAULT, FRACTURES, ETC.), QUANTITY, DURATION <br />AND QUALITY (i.e., pH, ELECTRO-CONDUCTIVITY AND TEMPERATURE) OF ALL <br />INFLOWS: A TABLE CONTAINING RECORDS OF WATER DISCHARGED FROM THE <br />MINE, CONSUMED IN THE MINE AND IMPORTED FOR USE WITHIN THE MINE: AND <br />A DISCUSSION OF WATER BALANCE WITHIN THE MINE. THE INFLOW STUDY IS TO <br />BE DONE DURING THE SPRING OF EACH YEAR WITH THE REPORT SUBMITTED BY <br />JULY 1. <br />Status -Terminated <br />All mining operations at the Southfield Mine have ceased and the mine has been sealed, making <br />it impossible to collect data regazding mine inflows.
