Ground water Section 2.04.7 should be revised to provide the <br />following information: <br />1)Updating of maps showing water quality; <br />2)Addition of map or improvement of previous maps showing <br />aquifer flow direction, if known; <br />3)Discussion of communication in various strata within <br />Vermejo Fm. ; <br />4)Recharge areas modified by test pit mining. <br />d. Climatological data should be updated to include recent wet <br />years. <br />5. Section 2.05 Operation and Reclamation Plans <br />a. The discussion about proposed and existing facilities at the <br />mine site should be revised to accurately reflect current site <br />conditions. Changes in all narratives should be made to <br />effectively insert the approved dry mine plan into the permit. <br />All discussions which relate soley to the multiple seam mine <br />plan should be deleted. <br />b. Table 17 should be revised to show the oal production tonnages <br />'~, under the dry mine plan. Reclamation tables, production <br />~ v~ schedules, and mine life projections may also need to be <br />modified. <br />c. Tables 21 and 22 should be modified to tabulate the correct <br />overburden, subsoil, and topsoil volumes corresponding to the <br />'.- dry mine plan. A discussion of volumes related to the <br />exploration test pit should also be included. <br />d. The narrative in Section 2.05.4, pages 2.05-46 through 2.05-50 <br />and Table 25, should be modified to show the revised species <br />diversity standard agreed upon by the Division and the operator <br />in letters dated July 16 and August 2, 1985. Commitments to <br />Stipulations 6, 8 and 9 should be included in the text of this <br />section, or referenced to Section 4.15. Both sections should <br />reflect these stipulations. <br />e. A rill and gully plan should be included which discusses <br />maintenance and repair of gullies that might form on reclaimed <br />areas. This plan should include: A monitoring schedule, a <br />repair schedule and a description of repair methodology which <br />~/ considers minimization of the disturbance to revegetated areas <br />as a result of the gully repair. A copy of the Division's rill <br />and gully policy memo is included for your guidance. <br />6. General Performance Standards - Rule 4.0 Permit Application Document <br />a. Changes in road construction or location as included in the dry <br />~ mine plan should be incorporated into the permit. Evidence <br />showing that all roads meet the performance standards of Rule <br />4.03 should be included. P1aps should be redrafted as <br />necessary, based on these changes. <br />
