• <br />The method for sealing portals in Exhibit 9 and page 15 was reviewed by the <br />Division for compliance. The sealing method proposed is to remove all timbers <br />and concrete from the portals, install an MSHA approved portal seal at least <br />25 feet from the entrance and then backfill the opening. The portal area will <br />then be backfilled and sloped to approximate original contour. <br />The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />XXIII. Subsidence - Rules 2.05.6(6) and 4.20 <br />Based on the information presented in the application, <br />no renewable resource lands will be affected by the pry <br />operation.
