are placed against these slopes. Final slopes will be contained within the permit boundary <br />as delineated in the field. Regraded slopes will not exceed 2.75:1 (horizontal/verticall. <br />Back sloped material will not protrude beyond the permit boundary. All materials will be <br />feathered into adjacent undisturbed areas. Contour furrows 18" deep will be installed with <br />upper cuts at a 2:1 (H:V) on 40' centers. <br />Measurement and Payment <br />Payment for this task will be reflected in a lump sum bid under Item 3 on the Bid Schedule. <br />This lump sum bid will cover payment of all costs for excavation, transport, and <br />earthmoving of the project area. There will be no measurement for payment. Payment <br />shall be as this task is completed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. Payment for <br />this task shall be made only for that amount shown under Item 3 of the Bid Schedule. <br />Any or all incidental costs incurred by the CONTRACTOR shall be reflected in each Bid <br />Item or shall be paid at the CONTRACTOR's expense. <br />Task 4 REVEGETATION <br />Revegetation procedures will be performed after September 20, 1996. The awarded <br />CONTRACTOR will notify the PROJECT MANAGER 2 (twol weeks in advance of his notice <br />to proceed with the revegetation phase of the project. The OWNER will supply all the <br />seed for the reseeding. The CONTRACTOR will supply the fertilizer, mulch, equipment for <br />chiseling or other approved technique for seedbed preparation, fertilizer application, <br />seeding, mulching, and crimping. Earthmoving activities related to recontouring and <br />backfilling are estimated to disturb approximately 6 acres which will require revegetation. <br />All areas disturbed and/or compacted during reclamation work, backfills and any other <br />areas specified in these Special Conditions will be revegetated according to the <br />Revegetation Specifications (20.0) in the General Bid Specifications. Either commercial <br />fertilizer or manure may be used for this project. Seed will be supplied by the OWNER. <br />CONTRACTOR must supply fertilizer content tags and fertilizer and mulch weight tickets. <br />Measurement and Payment <br />Payment for this task will be reflected in a lump sum bid under Item 4 on the Bid Schedule. <br />This lump sum bid will cover payment of all costs for seedbed preparation, fertilizing <br />(including supplying fertilized, seeding, mulching (including supplying mulch), and mulch <br />crimping. These revegetation procedures will be performed on all regraded, backfilled and <br />otherwise disturbed areas from project work. There will be no measurement for payment. <br />Payment shall be as this task is completed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. <br />Payment for this task shall be made only for that amount shown under Item 4 of the Bid <br />Schedule. Any or all incidental costs incurred by the CONTRACTOR shall be reflected in <br />each Bid Item or shall be paid at the CONTRACTOR's expense. <br />TASK 5 EQUIPMENT RENTAL <br />The previously backfilled portals require excavation to confirm the placement of bulkhead <br />seals and to further strengthen the failing backfills. This procedure will be required before <br />any regrading work is to be performed in the portal vicinity as directed by the PROJECT <br />8 <br />
