C~ <br />Ground Water <br />A. Baseline Information <br />• <br />The descriptions of ground water within the permit application are <br />located in Sections 3.3.4, 5.1, and 5.2; appendices 3.3-3a, 3.3-4, <br />3.3-5, 3.3-7, 3.3-9, and 3.3-10; and Figures 3.3-11, 3.3-12, <br />3.3-17, and 5.2-2. A detailed description of the ground water in <br />the permit and adjacent areas is contained in the Description of <br />the Environmerrt section of this Findings Document. A Description <br />of the ground water in the general area is contained in the <br />Cumulative Hydrologic Impacts Study and Probable Hydrologic <br />Consequences of Mining section earlier in this Findings Document. <br />The descriptions of mining impacts on ground water are located in <br />sections 4.2.3.3, 4.2.3.4, 5.2.4.2.2, 4.2.4.2.4, 4.2.4.2.6, 4.5.3, <br />and 5.2 of the application. The discussions on ground water <br />contained in the Cumulative Hydrologic Impacts Study and Probable <br />Hydrologic Consequences of Mining section of this Findings Document <br />present an analysis of these impacts. <br />Monitoring <br />Section A of Stipulation 3, of the original Findings Document, <br />specified certain monitoring wells and parameters to be analyzed, <br />These were subsequently modified by TR04. The modified Section A <br />of Stipulation No. 3 which is currently applicable is included <br />below. <br />Stipulation No. 3 (as modified by TR-04) <br />THE DIVISION REQUIRES THAT COAL RIDGE N0. 1 SUBMIT AN ANNUAL <br />REPORT ON JANUARY 15 OF EACH YEAR INCORPORATING THE FOLLOWING: <br />BEDROCK WELLS AND ALLUVIAL/COLLUVIAL WELLS <br />OW-3L, OW-12 <br />OW-4L, OW-13 <br />OW-7, OW-14 <br />OW-8 <br />THESE WELLS ARE TO BE SAMPLED ON A BIANNUAL BASIS (TWICE <br />YEAR) AND SAMPLES ANALYZED FOR THE FOLLOWING PARAMETERS <br />Ca <br />Mg <br />Na <br />K <br />HC03 <br />SAR <br />TDS <br />With the acceptance of <br />in compliance with the <br />C O3 <br />SOq <br />N03 <br />Fe <br />C1 <br />Conductivity (lab) <br />pH (lab) <br />this stipulation, the proposed operation is <br />requirements of this section. <br />-15- <br />
