map with the areas to be disturbed sumperimposed on it.
(d)
Based on information provided in the permit application the subsoil in hole
R9A (for Waste Areas 7, 8, and 9) does not meet suitability criteria (page
II.I -22). The applicant has proposed to further examine the high SAR and
clay content of the soil in this area but has not provided details for the
testing program. The details of the testing program and a timetable for
submitting the results should be provided.
Based on information from Illustration C of the permit application, some
topsoil samples (e.g., WFA #22) indicate that some soils are of questionable
quality as a plant growth medium. All such soils should be noted and dis-
cussed.
(e)
The applicant needs to provide a discussion of the present and potential
productivity of the soils within the permit area. This discussion should be
in terms of the pounds /acre (or gms /m2) of vegetation currently on the site,
and the potential production of the soils (assuming the best available man-
agement techniques are used).
Section 2.04.10 Vegetation Information
(1) Vegetation Map
Vegetation mapping delineates communities for the entire permit area. Areas to
be affected by surface operations and facilities were not indicated on the map
as required by Section 2.04.10(1) of the Colorado permanent regulatory
program. This information needs to be provided in the application.
10
