slash less than four inches in diameter will be chipped or scattered <br />outside the cleared area and must be within 24 inches of the ground at <br />all points. All material four inches in diameter and greater will be <br />removed from Federal land, unless otherwise directed. <br />11. Brush and topsoil will be windrowed above the cut on the portion of <br />access road to be reclaimed after drilling operations are completed. <br />12. Topsoil and vegetation will be stripped together to a depth of four to <br />six inches. No topsoil stripping will be allowed when soils are moisture <br />saturated to a depth of three inches, or frozen below the stripping <br />depth. <br />11. The drill sites will be limited to the construction of a reserve pit with <br />maximum dimensions of 10 by 20 by 4 feet deep. No other blading for <br />drill site construction is allowed. All drilling fluids will be <br />contained in the pits. <br />14. The portion of existing access starting at the boundary with private <br />surface located at the NW4SE~ Section 2, T. 11 S., R. 98 W., 6th P.M. and <br />ending at drill site pcc-O1 and at approximately 500 feet past the <br />turnoff to the pcc-O1 drill site will not be bladed except to allow for <br />drainage crossings where blading will be minimal. <br />15. The portion of access starting at the NE~SE}NW~NE~ Section 11, T. 11 S., <br />R. 98 W., 6th P.M, and ending at NW}SE~SW~NE} Section 11, T. 11 S., R. 98 <br />W., 6th P.M. will be crowned, ditched, or ripped with a maximum disturbed <br />width of 30 feet and a 12 to 14 foot running surface. This portion of <br />access will be reclaimed by October 15, 1986, unless it is being used <br />prior to that date for access to a ventilation shaft site. <br />16. The portion of access starting at IQW~SE}SW~PIE~ Section 11, T. 11 S., R. <br />98 W., 6th P.M. and ending at drill site pcc-03 will be bladed onlq where <br />necessary to allow vehicle travel. Overland travel will be used where <br />possible. The reclamation of these drill sites and access will be <br />completed by October 15, 1985 unless the reserve pits fail to dry out. <br />17. Dust will be controlled by the use of water or an approved dust <br />retardant, as directed by the Grand Junction Resource Area Manager. All <br />roads will be maintained in as good as or better than existing <br />condition. <br />18. Culvert(s) will be installed in the sizes and locations as shown on the <br />attached map. Additional culverts may be necessary as the road <br />construction proceeds and will be installed as per instruction of the <br />authorized officer. <br />19. The culvert invert(s) shall be installed at the elevation of the natural <br />streambed. All fill material will be placed in layers not exceeding 6 <br />inches. Fill materia] will be compacted with a hand compactor 12 inches <br />on both sides and above the culvert. Fill outside of the 12 inch limit <br />shall be placed In 6 inch lifts or less and compacted with a rubber tired <br />vehicle or using other standard compaction methods. <br />
