It was done by Dirt-N-/ron ordered by
James B. McArdle, Senior Reclamation Specialist.
While closing down our project site 2004 we noticed a seepage with a
distinct discoloration of the water from the area that Dirr-N-Iron buried
several tons of iron and debris that was left on our property by previous
mining companies. Originally this material was to be hauled off the
property, like much of it was, buJ x+e were told that there wasn't enough
money left over from the reclamation bondfrom the previous operators.
We did not approve of that idea then and we still do not approve the action
that was taken. We realize that there has been more rain fall this year than
in the previous yeas, but not knowing the composition of the buried
materials our concern is that this material will break down through leeching
and pollute the ground waters that is percolating through the soil.
With our land contour 4% to h% slope, it will frnd it's way into'Cache
Creek since it was buried approximately 100 yards above the cree% out of
our effective area but still on our property.
