The contractor must carry a minimum of $0""00,000 <br />combined single limit. <br />VENDOR OFFSET <br />Pursuant to C.R.S. 24-30-202.4 (as amended), the State Controller may withhold debts owed to <br />state agencies under the vendor offset intercept system for: (a) unpaid child support debt or child <br />support arrearages; (b) unpaid balance of tax, accrued interest, or other charges specifed in <br />Article 22, Title 39, C.R.S.; (c) unpaid loans due to the student loan division of the Department of <br />Higher Education; (d) owed amounts required to be paid to the unemployment compensation fund <br />and (e) other unpaid debts owing to the State or any agency thereof, the amount of which is found <br />to be owing as a result of final agency determination or reduced to judgment as certified by the <br />controller. <br />Work Description <br />Maintenance work to be accomplished at the Grassy Gap Coal Mine includes construction of three <br />(3) low water crossings, repair of a sediment pond dewatering device and sealing of the vase of <br />the same sediment pond. A few miscellaneous tasks will be accomplished through the use of <br />machine time. Maintenance of the Grassy Gap Mine is being accomplished by the State of <br />Colorado, Division of Minerals and Geology, using forfeited reclamation bond monies. <br />The attached veneral Conditions for Purchase Orders and Purchase Order Terms and Conditions <br />apply to all work. <br />The Project is scheduled to be conducted during the week of June 28, 1999. It is anticipated that <br />the project will be accomplished in no more than four (4) consecutive working days. <br />The Grassy Gap Coal Mining operation was a permitted mining operation. The Colorado Mined <br />Land Reclamation Board has revoked the operating permit, and forfeited the reclamation bond. <br />The majority of the site was reclaimed by the coal mining company. The Division of Minerals and <br />Geology periodically performs reclamation related maintenance work at the site. Accomplishing <br />the required maintenance will help to stabilize the site by providing for control of snow melt and <br />storm related run off, and by minimizing seepage from a sediment control pond located on a <br />hillside. <br />NOTE that Mobilization and Demobilization are not included as a separate line item. <br />CONTRACTOR shall include charges for these items, if any, in the prices bid for the tasks <br />described below. No additional payment for Mobilization and Demobilization will be made. <br />Task 1 Low Water Crossings <br />The goal of this Task is to manage drainage of water on two of the of the old haul roads. In order <br />to accomplish this, two (2) low water crossings are to be constructed within the Project Area, one <br />on the Pit 4 Road, and one on the Pits 2 / 3 Road. <br />The Pit 4 Road low water crossing will be constructed immediately above the first switchback <br />located on this road. This crossing will serve to transport water from the north to the south side of <br />the road, and into an existing drainage Swale. The other low water crossing will be constructed at <br />the first switch back of the Pits 2/3 Road. This low water crossing will allow water to drain from the <br />
