Broda's Inert Fill <br />Reclamation Plan <br />Phase ll1 <br />4/21/03 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />The approximately 18.5 acre azea immediately west of Phase I and over Phase II to <br />remove all or part of this acreage from the 100 yeaz floodplain of the South. Platte River <br />by approval from the city of Commerce City prior to commencing filling above the 5070 <br />feet elevation level. The division of minerals and geology shall receive a copy of the <br />city's approval. If the approval does not allow additional filling of part of the 18.5 acre <br />azea as shown on the map in Exhibit 4 of the Broda's Inert Fill Revision #l, a technical <br />revision shall be filed with the Department of Minerals and Geology revising the <br />reclamation plan maps final grades to reflect the conditions of the city's approval. <br />Finally, as with Phase I, upon obtaining approved final grades, any area not proposed for <br />immediate development shall have a min;mum final grade of 2%, an a minimum six <br />inches of soil material placed over all of the aeeas not used as access roadways and be <br />vegetated per the grass seeding plan. For any areas proposed for immediate industrial and <br />or commercial development, final grades may be a minimum of 1 percent and no seeding <br />shall be required. <br />Grass Seeding Plan <br />Any azea not proposed for immediate development will be seeded with the grass mixture <br />listed below. <br />Grasses % of mix PL S Per Acre <br />Western wheatgrass, Barton 22 5.00 <br />Blue grama, Hachita 9 2.00 <br />Buffalograss, Texoka (bur.) 34 8.00 <br />Streambank wheatgrass, Sodar 17 4.00 <br />Little bluestem, Pastura I 1 2.50 <br />Blue Fax 2 0.50 <br />Blaketflower 4 1.00 <br />Prairie coneflower 1 0.25 <br />Total Per Live Seed (PLS) per acre 2325 <br />Standards for seeding and maintenance of revegetation are as follows: <br />1. Seeding will occur either in the fall or spring and repeated in the next spring or fall as <br />needed. <br />2. Seed application shall be mechanically drilled 0.25 inches to 0.50 inches into the soil. <br />Any compacted aeeas shall be ripped and then tilled to a minimum depth of six <br />inches, In aeeas not accessible to drill, and broadcast that doubled the above rate shall <br />be utilized. Mulching of 1.5 tons per acre of native hay (weed free) shall be <br />mechanically crimped into the soil in combination with organic mulch tackifier. All <br />drainage ditches and swales shall have installed a straw soil retention blanket. <br />Fertilizer shaII be utilized as foIIows, unless soil testing determines the more <br />
