Broda's Inert Fill 4/zl/o3
Reclamation Plan
Introduction
There are two different areas addressed for reclamation of the Broda Inert Fill. The
reclamation plan mirrors the original reclamation plan completed for a lazger azea to be
reclaimed under the Aggregate Industries, Inc MLRB permit. The two azeas for
reclamation aze the Fill Area, approximately 26 acres to the filled according to the phase
plan described in the original application, and the Wetlands Area, approximately five
acres of wetlands immediately adjacent to Bull Seep Drainage. Seeding will be completed
according to the seed mixture described in this plan which is identical to the seed mixture
approved for the Aggregate Industries Inc reclamation plan.
The wetlands azea will also serve as the stormwater retention basin for the property when
filling is completed.
Fill Area
The fill area is composed of three sepazate phases, Phase I, II and III. Both Phases I and
Phase II will be filled concurrently. Once one of azea is completed filled to the grades
specified on the map in Exhibit 4 of the Broda's Inert Fill Revision #1, it will be
reclaimed as described below.
Phase /
Phase one is easternmost five acres with a boundary along Monaco Street. Upon reaching
the approved grades as shown on the map in Exhibit 4 of the Broda's Inert Fill Revision
#1, any area of Phase I not proposed for immediate development shall have a minimum
final grade of 2% and include a minimum of six inches of soil material placed over all
azeas not used as access roadways. Areas covered with 6 inches of soil material will be
vegetative using the grass seeding mixture found in the Grass Seeding section below. For
any areas proposed for immediate industrial and/or commercial development final grades
may be a minimum of 1 percent and no seeding shall be required.
Phase 1l
The Phase II azea is approximately 18.5 acres located immediately west a Phase I. Filling
of Phase II shall be above the water level to an approximate e]evation of 5,070+-feet. If
approval from the city of Commerce City to fill in above the 100 yeaz floodplain level has
not been obtained upon completion of Phase II, or if the approval that has been obtained
only allows for additional filling on that part but not all of the 18.5 acre area, then any
area not approved for filling above the 100 yeaz floodplain elevation shall have the
minimum of six inches of soil material and be vegetated according to the grass seeding
plan found below.
