Reclamation Proposal for Coal View Ghost Ranch
March 31, 1994
The intent and purpose of these writings is two fold. One
two restore Coal View Ghost Ranch as closely as possible to its'
former usefulness and grandeur. Secondly to fix responsibility
for its' restoration and eventual complete reclamation.
Water subjects ----- The diversion and taking of our water
is and has been a major concern. The pipe under railroad must be returned
to its' former configuration. The ditch from the front gate to
the river (along the tracks) must be restored to its' former
location. The fence must then be put back to its' former status.
The removed gravel to 'be replaced with top soil. The ditch
which was along the entry road may be left as it now is.
2 The irrigation ditch which was located on the east side
of the bridge may changed as follows. The ditch will start at
where it was cut off northeast of the escape tube exit. The
concrete part of the underground tube is to be removed along with
the dirt, rocks, etc., to bring the area down for proper drainage
onto the meadow created by the removal of the pond etc. To save
money we will allow conce~fe, gravel, dirt, etc., to be placed
along the out curve of the river below the bridge west of the
airfield. The orange stakes which were set last year serve as a
