<br />waste material further west and south of the working limit <br />area is material associated with the Double Dick Mine, and <br />will not be included in this project. The working limits of <br />the coal waste will be marked by the PROJECT MANAGER. <br />Pond A Cleanout (TASK 2B1 <br />The portion of this section regarding placement of pond A <br />material is hereby amended to be stockpiled 800 feet north on <br />the south east side of Chen's Hill and opposite the West Pit <br />access road on the shoulder. None of this material will be <br />used for gully repair or work in the Magpie Creek Diversion <br />(tasks removed from Bid Schedule). <br />Additional rock may be needed for the emergency spillway on <br />Pond A and should meet the specifications stated in Task 3, <br />Drainage Stabilization of the Bid Specifications. Payment for <br />this task will be reflected under item 9 of the Bid Schedule <br />as a cubic yard rate. Measurement will be actual volume of <br />cubic yards of rip-rap needed to complete work outlined in <br />Task 2B or as directed by the PROJECT MANAGER. <br />The volume of rip rap needed under item 9 is not guaranteed. <br />Magpie Creek Diversion (TASK 3A) <br />The portion of this section regarding removal of the 30" <br />culvert from the West Pit pond is hereby amended to state that <br />the culvert can be used in Task 3C, or the culvert can be left <br />in place if both ends of the culvert are crushed in six feet. <br />If the culvert is left in place, the CONTRACTOR is responsible <br />for a new 30" culvert to be used in Task 3C. <br />GENERAL NOTE <br />All bidders must write the statement "Amendment Received" <br />immediately below the Grand Total Line of the Invitation and <br />Bid Form. <br />m:\coal\esc\930809 <br />
