Equipment Rental- Additional Dozer Work (TASK 8 <br />Additional areas may require further slope reduction or <br />erosion control measures such as contour furrowing or <br />drainage re-establishment. Contour furrowing will be <br />approximately 36" wide and will be directed and approved by <br />the PROJECT MANAGER. The PROJECT MANAGER will provide <br />reference stakes to delineate contour fourrours and drainage <br />areas. <br />Any additional dozer work which may arise will also be covered <br />under this task (Task 8). All work under this task 8 shall be <br />according to 19.0 Equipment Rental Specifications in the <br />General Bid Specifications. <br />Measurement and Payment- Payment for this task will be <br />reflected under item 8 of the Bid Schedule as an hourly rate <br />for a CAT D8N or equivalent 285 HP Machine with Operator. Bid <br />hourly rate shall reflect the CONTRACTORS estimate for <br />equipment and personnel, costs per hour to complete the task. <br />Measurement will be actual hours required to complete work <br />outlined above and or as directed and approved by the PROJECT <br />MANAGER. <br />The Hours outlined under item 8 are not guaranteed. <br />Orphan Pit- Task 5A <br />The portion of this section regarding material to be <br />backfilled in the Orphan Pit includes the coal waste material <br />located at the North end of the pit. The material shall be <br />placed first in the Orphan Pit followed by the spoil material. <br />The coal waste material boundary north of the Orphan Pit will <br />be marked by the PROJECT MANAGER. <br />Duck Pond Pit- Task 5B <br />This portion of the section regarding the Duck Pond Pit <br />replaces the first paragraph of text and clarifies the working <br />limits of the Haul Road Coal Refuse. <br />There are two, 25-foot wide roadway which requires reclamation <br />following completion of the Orphan Pit. The Orphan Pit road <br />runs south form County Road 93 (aka Curby Ranch Road) from <br />near the tipple (Map 2A). The road should be ripped with a a- <br />foot ripper, prior to seedbed preparation. The two coal waste <br />haul roads are approximately 2,600 feet long. Coal waste <br />should be removed from the surface of the roadways and placed <br />in the Duck Pond Pit. The road leading to the water wells <br />will remain in place at the Landowners request, and the other <br />road will be ripped with a 3- foot ripper prior to seedbed <br />preparation. The haul road refuse to be removed include the <br />coal material on the haul road, east of the road into the <br />drainage and west of the haul road roughly 75 feet. The coal <br />
