APT Project GMX2453
Test Report, Kiln Stack Emissions (March 24, 2003)
except for PCDDlPCDFs for which the detection limit was used.
Plant Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (GEMS) data are included in the test report
to document emission levels of carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, and total
hydrocarbons during the test program. Emissions data from the GEMS are quality assured
via successful completion of an annual Relative Accuracy Test Audit.
CEMEX :Lyons, Colorado -Kiln Stack
Sampling and Analytical Method Summary
Parameter Sampling Method Analytical Method Laboratory
Methods 1,
Gas Flow 23/428t429, 26A, S-type pilot tube
29, 0011
Oxygen (OZ),
Carbon Dioxide Method 3 wet chemical analysis (Orsat) APT, On-Site
(GOz)
Methods
Moisture (HZO) 231428/429, 26A, gravimetric
29, 0011
Particulate Matter Methods 26A, 29 gravimetric APT
PCDDs ! Metals emissions were determined in accordance with EPA Method 29.
This approach provides for simultaneous determination of metals and particulate
emissions.
page 14
