~-,
.,,.
economically warrant mobilization of a contractor. All dozing
will be performed by Harrison-Peltron or a contractor to
Harrison-Peltron.
4.14.1(2) Method
The backfill material shall be selectively transported and
placed into the pits to maintain control on the amount of and
grade slopes. An annual stadia survey will monitor the progress
of the backfilling and remaining capacities of the pit.
Premining slopes should be approximated by selectively placing
of the material. Dozing will probably be performed by a D-6 or
equivalent dozer.
4.14.2 General Requirements
(1) Final graded slopes: The limiting constraint of the amount
of backfilling shall be the approximate preminimg slopes. No
additional material shall be disposed into the pit after the
slopes have approximated the premining slopes.
(a) Stability: The Orphan pits are essentially a box cut
and all material will be placed within the boundaries of the
box. All backfilled material should be stable. The
backfill will be inspected by a qualified professional to
determine the stability at the end of backfilling
operations.
(b) Moderate grade slopes: The final slope is planned as a
1v:lOh slope and is considered a very moderate slope.
(2) Cut and fill terraces: No terrances are planned.
(3) Small depressions: No small depressions are planned.
(4) Operations on slopes of above 20°: No naturally occurring
slopes exceed or to be constructed slopes shall exceed 20
degrees. .
(5) Grading: All grading shall be along the general contour.
