The actual depth of extraction, including topsoil to be stripped and preserved, is
proposed to be 7 to 10 feet below existing grade.
MAP 1.
~l • ~ / ~ --J,-
-~be ~ .... ~~ _
I~ \- ~
_ ~
1 i. ~
~ ~ _. /~
' \ \ i ~f
i C • ~ . ~ sp~np.
..~_' s'
*! - '
` ~
.~ :
. ` :gyp.
~ ~ ' - -
PROJECT SITE ~ ~ - -
_ ~ ~'• - ,_
~ -
' _ ~
_.. --_- ___ , l
.i• ~
,; - ,
oteee-zees rnavicezn+;.i ~~'-
AN0.ipAt Feze,ved Not is Napiyatioq - ., _ ~ ~
TNorth USGS Los Pinos River To o Ma 7.5 minute, 1964 on final scale 1:24,000
9. Approximately 10-15,000 CY, including 3,000 to 5,000 CY of topsoil, and 8,000
to 12,000 CY of fill material. Please note, at this point, several alternatives are being
evaluated for the exact location of the extraction to take place. See Map 2.
10. No explosives will be used in extraction.
11. The depth of extraction will be limited specifically to avoid exposure of tributary
ground water, which is one reason the extent and depth may vary.
12. Use of extracted material from the FLMD's own property will result in significant
savings of cost for the overall construction and long-term plans of the District.
13. Reclamation will be performed as part of the overall Project scope of work,
including stabilization of slopes, replacement of topsoil as appropriate, revegetation,
and removal of access roads not needed for future use. In addition to contract
documents, reclamation will be in accordance with conditions of the Colorado Discharge
Permitting System (CDPS) permit for management of storm water associated with
construction (COG-03A371).
14. The Project is underway pursuant to the FLMD CDPS municipal waste water
treatment and discharge permit (COG-584025), and is immediately adjacent to the
existing WWTP area, has been zoned for municipal services activities, and will be
covered under the storm water permit referenced above.
