COM Inc. will request a zoning for industrial/commereial for the building. <br />(Item 3: May 31, 1995) <br />2.3 Shaft and Adit Closure <br />1. The shaft collars and mine portals will be fenced and secured with heavy steel <br />plate doors to prevent future unauthorized entries from occurring. (Item 1) <br />2. No adits or shafts have been or will be disturbed. Therefore no reclamation <br />cost estimates will be required. (item 3: February 15, 1995) <br />3. A locked gate wil! be installed on the Hazel A Adit. (Item 3: May 31, 1995) <br />4. The cost of placement of rock cover, closing the Hazel A and Time mine <br />adits, sealing wells, geotextile purchase, and mobilization and demobilization <br />of equipment have been included in the reclamation cost estimates. If the Hazel A bulkhead cannot be maintained in a watertight condition, a <br />concrete or more effective bulkhead will be installed that is watertight. (Item <br />3: July 18, 1995) <br />2.4 Reclamation Goals <br />1. The ultimate goal of COM Inc.'s reclamation plan is to return the land surface <br />affected by this milling operation to a forest environment (The land use for the <br />mill building and adjoining parking lot has been revised to <br />Industrial/Commercial) that will have an enhanced suitability for wildlife <br />habitation.(Item 1) <br />2. Land reclamation will concentrate on ma;nra;n;ng the structural stability of the <br />tailings dam, protecting the embankment from erosion, and establishing the <br />growth of a permanent cover of indigenous vegetation on the tailings <br />impoundment area. (Item 1) <br />3. Therefore, the establishment of a pemtanent cover of indigenous vegetation on <br />the land surface affected by these milling operations will be the primary <br />objective of this reclamation plan.
