- •Tailin Line/Power Line Area (16)
The tailing power line area (16) is a heavily used area
comprised of another in-house power 'line, tailing delivery pipeline,
natural gas pipeline, Ute Creek flood control pipeline, mill water
return line, emergency spillway line and a roadway required for
maintenance purposes. Again, the cut and fill areas (approximately 39
acres) are in the process of being revegetated. At mine closure, the
power line and tailing delivery line, which is the only pipeline not
buried, will be dismantled and removed, and the remaining area revege-
tated to open forest.
East Branch Flood Bypass Pipeline (17)
The East Branch flood bypass pipeline (17) is the terminus
--. o£ the Ute Creek flood protection system extending to the Williams
Ebrk River. It was seeded in 1976 and, similar to other permanent
buried pipelines, will not be planted with woody vegetation. Again,
invasion of woody vegetation will not be disturbed unless repair or
replacement is needed.
Tailing Building/Road (18)
The tailing maintenance building/road area (18) is used for
access and storage for tailing delivery pipeline equipment and materials.
Approximately one-half of the area (3 acres) is being revegetated.
Revegetation of the remaining three acres will be a simple matter of
salvaging the materials, scarifying the area and revegetati.ng to open
forest. As indicated on the map, the building site itself will be
covered with tailing about the year 2004.
9-18
