There la an
en-echelon type of tearing in the lower portion of this crack. At this location the Sense of
movement la north wall out.
The living room extends bank to the kitchen ocoupying moat of the north half of the home.
Thera are two windows and a door ]n the north, exterior wall. At the door there are some
minor cracks in the plaster, one extends dlaponally off the top west of the door frame,
extending up to a ceiling beam. Thera is an indication of possible previous minor cracking off
the east corner of the door frame. The wear end of the north wall appears to be relatively
crack-free, es Is the west wall that separates it from the kitchen area. There is a large
firoplace in the center of the south wall. There is some minor cracking around the hearth, but
that la localized. There la a crack along the east end of the hearth where It connects to the
wall, F-airllna to t /t 8' tap to bottom cutting through the fresh recent paint.
In the kitchen there is a vertical crack at the northwest carrier of the kitchen over a closet near
tFle intronce to the basement. The apartment consists of
a bedroom with a small bathroom at the northeast. There is notable plaster cracking at the
southwest corner of the bedroom. What appears to be relatively fresh plaster cracking with
a diagonal component extends away from the Corner of the well two feet below the ceiling.
Some of the apparent displacement here is probably due to peeling and warping of the piaster,
but the crack itself typically has 1/8" dlaplecement In the upper half of the wall. This crack
is vary fresh and has actually popped the plaster slightly, and has an en-ochelon appearance.
The sense of motion is an extsnalonal feature in the top half of the well. There is a wlndaw
in the west wall. A diagonal crack that looks quite fresh extends off the north comer of this
window. It initiates about a toot below the top to the lintel. There is a crack vertically oft the
top corder. There is some cracking in the very top of the wear well at the northwest corner,
which may be due to leakafle through the roof ea opposed to having a structural cause. There
are minor hairline cracks fn the top half of the wall at the northeast add northwest Comers of
the room. There is also soma minor plaster cracking in the bathroom, some of which looks
like it might have been there before and was painted over and has just opened up a little bit.
The basement has poured concrota walla and appears to be part of the original construction.
There is a sump in the east central pert with standing water about 5 inches below the top of
slab.
