EXHIBIT "E" -RECLAMATION PLAN (Technical Revision 6-20-85, Page 4)
The outlet from the concrete batch plant, which was dispensing minute amounts
of water and creating an erosion gulley will be taken care of by constructing a
o~ttc% p~ ~~C(d ~
drainage ditch to the settling ponds which is rock lined, for drainage to be contained
and so that this water can createno more gullies.
The present operator and the previous operator did pour waste concrete downslope
to stabilize various erosion gul5es. This practice will cease and the operator will build
a berm abng the top to stabilize these gullies by preventing water to progress over
~~
~ti0
,,~~pp""~~ the side of the mesa. thus the drainage plan will be utilized.
The natural gas line which was exposed in one of the erosion gullies will be
~~ ~, ~.
covered immediately and compacted with the surrounding material so thi t it will not
----~_
,y be e.cposed. Also, a berm and concrete wall will be built on the top of the mesa so
~-~~+' that water from runoff will be channeled through a drainage ditch and will not be
. ~ allowed to drain through these gullies, but will be drained via the drainage plan as
_1 •p}/ outlined.
Where the underground irrigation pipe was broken, the operator constructed a
drainage ditch to the settling ponds in order to contain this runoff, the settling pond
~'~ is near the asphalt plant, since this is only periodical and the underground irrigation
is shut off, the majority of the time. This measure will prevent the water from
flowing down the road.
With a drainage ditch to the settling pond near the sump, there will be no more water
flowing down the road, over a gravel armoured retaing wall, o.r such, where some
fed into a pipe leading to a sump and some continued as overland flow.
Due to the drainage ditch to the settlement pond, no water will be allowed to
continue as overland flow, passing through asphalt issuing Erom a leak in the asphalt
plant retort (which the operator fixed immediately) and no erosion will be allow:;d,
