EXHIBIT "E" - RECLAMATION PLAN (Technical Revision 6-20-85, Page 3)
The asphalt and concrete waste dumped in designated piles on the northern
boundary of phase two covers approximately a 1/4 acre area. The fill was necessary
to raise the elevation and level the area for a crusher and stockpile to be implemented
for use as the mining proceeded west. A 3 ft. high berm will be constructed to
~, prevent any further asphalt and concrete from being found downslope.
IIppAA--~The northern boundary of phase two is a gravel bar mesa, thus there was very
0"r'
little to no topsoil for salvage purposes. Therefore, the operator salvaged the
minimal amounts of topsoil available which was then placed in the current topsoil
stockpile. ~ ~
Although the previous operator allowed edges of asphalt and covered slough onto
the Santa Fe Road, the present operator will implement a berm 3 ft. high along the
edges of the property, above the bluff for approximately 825 ft. to prevent any
~~ sloughing and also to control side erosion and a concrete wall along the parking
~~1,area for 495 ft. to also prevent sloughing and to be used to control side erosion.
t~~ ,~ The previous operator dumped concrete waste downslope along the northern
h~' boundary of phase two and the present operator has, in the past, only dumped for
the purposes of gulley erosion control. This practice will not be continued in the Euture.
Tops it was salvaged from the area, but due to the fact that the area is located
~{~~
on a gravel bar mesa, very little to no topsoil was obtained. Any topsoil which was
salvaged was placed in the current topsoil stockpile.
The 30 automotive batteries have at this time been taken ofE-site and disposed of
off-site at the County dump. The liquid contained was transported off-site and disposed
of with the batteries. The salvage area (which covers less than L/4 acre) will be
~` cleaned up and left in a neat and workable condition with all materials to be used as
~~' -~ replacement parts for the mining machinery.
