EXHIBIT "E" -RECLAMATION PLAN (Technical Revision 6-20-85)
A portion of the Southern permit boundary was previously backfilled, graded
and sloped to a 2 1/2:1 slope in 1983 while mining under the legal permit dated
October 27, 1983, for a regular (112) application.
Wee3 species observed while making the field inspection with the operator were
Russian thistle, cheatgrass and tumbleweed. During the fall of 1995, the operator
will revegetate this area once again after backfilling, compacting and sloping to a
2 1/2:1 slope, to the following seed mixture: ~ '•,
Crested wheatgrass 1.2 lbs. /acre )`~~~ ~
Pubescent wheatgrass 1. 8 lbs. /acre
Western wheatgrass 1.8 lbs. /acre
Russian wild rye 0. 5 lbs. /acre ~ )~
~..t,
Sainfoin 1.25 lbs. /acre
Cicer Milkretch . 33 lbs. /acre
Total 6. 69 lbs. )acre
Ammonia Ntrt. will also be added at 40.0 lbs/acre.
The operator shall also sprea3 ample organic material (cow manure) over
- 50.1 k,~
the area at two tons per acre. -
Addressing the minor gullet' erosion, first the operator will backfill, grade and
slope the area to smooth out the gullies to a 2 1/2:1 slope. Next the operator will
compact the area with a sheepsfoot compactor and catipillars to prevent loose
`~`` material from being eroded. Then the operator will place a berm along the flat edge
l~ n top of the slope to prevent the direct hitting of water upon the backfilled and graded
,~. ~,v
l~/``~ slope, thus preventing any erosion. Seeding will proceed per the Reclamation Plan
seed mixture specifications in the fall of 1985, with an interum coverage of yellow
~~ sweet clover (1/2 lb. /acre) and perennial rye grass (3 lbs. /acre) as a quick cover crop.
