EXHIBIT "D" -MINING PLAN (Technical Revision 6-20-85)
The operator was active during the inspection made by the Mined Land
Reclamation Division Personnel due to the fact that the operation was permitted
on January 6, 1980 and the operator was operating in a legal capacity under the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act of 1973 and the Rules and Regulations
promugated by the Mined Land Reclamation Board.
`/ The present stockpiled topsoil will be seeded by hand with a mixture of quick
cover sweet clover (1/2 lb. /acre and perennial rye (3 lbs. /acre) to prevent erosion.
~i.n d-
~ The topsoil stockpile will be seeded and not graded to prevent undue disturbance of
the topsoil stockpile. All newly stored topsoil will be graded to a 3:1 slope and will
be seeded by hand with a protective quick cover mixture of sweet clover (L/2 Lb. /acre)
and perennial rye grass (3 lbs. /acre) to prevent erosion. Approximately 4,000 cubic
yards of topsoil is currently located at the site. (See Mining Map, Exhibit "C").
A stripped buffer zone (one scraper wide) will be used to separate the active
highwall face from the undisturbed land so that the amount of topsoil through the
handling process will be implemented by the operator in the future.
Presently, there is approximately 4, 000 cubic yards of topsoil in the storage
area. The topsoil in storage was stripped from area "A" as outlined . ~ on
the map in Exhibit "C". Future topsoil will be stripped from area ' C' as outlined
on the map in Exhibit "C" and will contain 9, 000 cubic yards of topsoil , In
o°
~ Id,e
~y% area "B" as outlined on the map, Exhibit "C'; :t will contain approximately 4, 000
cubic yards of topsoil.
The topsoil will be put in the topsoil storage areas where there will be no - -;
stripping of topsoil, as indicated on the map in Exhibit "C". This should enable a
better determination of what topsoil was stripped and what topsoil was yet to be
salvaged.
