XIV. 0 erations Descri ti on - Rules 2.05.2, 2.05.3(1), 2.05.3(2), 2.05.3(3
Pages 67 and 68 of the permit application have been revised to reflect the
current status of operations at the mine.
Coal production over the past five years has averaged approximately
28,000 tons per year. Coal is currently being trucked to the sales area for
sizing and/or sale. Mining is currently projected to continue until 2006.
Mine water is currently being pumped from the mine into the bench sediment
pond. From there it is discharged into Lewis Gulch.
Mine facilities listed in the permit application are in place with the
exception of the sizing facility and truck scale at the mine site.
A minor revision (MR-O1) indicating as-built plans of facilities at the mine
site was approved by the Division on July 10, 1985. MR-02 (approved
August 9, 1985) was submitted so that modifications to the truck scale at the
sales office could be made. Three concrete slabs were installed at the coal
storage yard after approval of MR-03 on July 9, 1987. The office/shop
building at the mine site was relocated after approval of MR-04 on
September 9, 1988.
The mine access road was removed from the permit area and maintenance
responsibilities assumed by Fremont County as a result of TR-02 (approved
August 28, 1987).
The planned Upper Bench Sediment Pond was never constructed and these plans
have been removed from the permit application.
There are no other changes to this section.
The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section.
XV. Coal Processin Waste and N
an Tf
~n-Coal_Processing Waste =_Rules_2.05.3(8
There is no coal processing at the operation.
Underground development waste is being placed as fill at the spoil area bench
as planned. The waste is still below the level of the top of the toe dike.
A final plan for configuration of the fill has been submitted for Division
review and approval.
There are no other changes to this section.
The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section.
-12-
