Drain Cover Fill <br />1. Drain Cover Fill shall be placed over the Geomembrane Liner in the <br />locations shown on the DRAWINGS. <br />2. Drain Cover Fill shall be imported from spent heap leach ore from the <br />Carlton No. 2 Heap Leach Pad or crushed ore from the Cresson Pit. <br />3. Crushed ore from the Cresson Pit shall be placed above the geomembrane <br />liner in the Pregnant Solution Storage Area and the spent leach ore shall <br />be placed over the remainder of the geomembrane liner area." <br />END OF SPECIFICATIONS. <br />In consultation with Dirk Van Zyl and David Kidd of Golder Associates, it was confirmed that <br />the only reason for the difference in the specifications was to provide additional permeability in <br />the "pregnant solution storage area." The differences were in no manner related to puncture <br />resistance of the liner systems because the most recent puncture testing took place with the run- <br />of-pile Pad N2 material overlying the smooth liner and soil liner material with 2" rocks at the <br />surface (August 31, 1994 test data supplied by Dave Kidd of Golder Associates and provided <br />to OMLR via CC&V's letter of September 2, 1994).
